About Rose & Pelican Press

Rose & Pelican Press was founded in 2026 with a single conviction: that all works important to the Rosicrucian tradition should be made available in English.

We are an independent Rosicrucian press based in Pennsylvania, publishing Rosicrucian, Hermetic, and other Esoteric texts of uncommon distinction. Each title is chosen not for its commercial prospects but for the importance of the work to the Rosicrucian and Hermetic traditions.

We believe in the long view. Many of the books we admire most — the ones that changed how we see the world — found their readers slowly, over years and decades. We publish accordingly.

Our Name

Our name is a reference to the Rosicrucian symbols of the rose and the pelican. The rose is a symbol of beauty, grace, love, and wisdom, while the pelican is a symbol of sacrifice, resilience, and renewal.

The Editors

The press is directed by a small editorial board whose names do not appear here by preference. We believe the books should speak, not the editors.
